Objectives of the activity of Institute of Biotechnology

To accomplish the scientific biotechnological researches significant to Lithuanian science, economy and healthcare as well as experimental development works in accordance with the most important scientific activity courses determined by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, to provide the results thereof to the society, the customers and world scientific society, to ensure the competence of the state in the biotechnology field, to integrate Lithuanian scientific biotechnological researches into the European scientific field, to contribute to the development of biotechnology industry in Lithuania, to promote utilization of biotechnology science achievements in other branches of science, economy and social life; together with other institutions of higher education to prepare scientists during doctor degree studies, to assist the above mentioned institutions in the preparation of the specialists.
