Virology Institute

The scientists of Virology Institute, Leipzig, Germany, studies animal virus cells, tropism mechanisms, and virus survival mechanism in infected cell as well; explores virus evolution and molecular epidemiology of virus infections; does diagnosis of animal virus infections using classical and molecular biology methods. The laboratory applies the following technologies of biology: Real time PGR, AT-PGR, Southern/ Nothern hybridization, RFLP, cloning, sekvenation, in vitro transcription and transmission, transfection, studies of expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, Western hybridization, radioimmunoprecipitation, IFT, ELISA.
