The main activity of Institute of Medical Virology of Giessen Justus – Liebing University is diagnosis of Hepatitis B, C and D, prophylaxis, therapy, epidemiology, researches of molecular biology, and studies on infectious viruses emerging during transfusion. The institute studies entrance of various pathogens into cells and replication mechanisms and executes virus diagnosis by PGR method.
